Gavin Oxley grew up in rural Southwest Virginia before realizing his dream of attending the University of Virginia, where he earned his degree in Medical Anthropology, Ethics, and Care with a minor in Environmental Science. He later earned his Master of Legal Studies from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Conner College of Law.
After finishing his time at UVA, Gavin began his career in the Pro-Life Movement with Students for Life of America (SFLA), serving on campuses across Virginia and West Virginia and later as a field operations supervisor and head of medical and law student programming. During his time at SFLA, he began to develop his media and communications instinct, being mentored and setting movement strategy and messaging in prominent national outlets.
Upon completing his Master’s, Gavin transitioned to use his legal expertise for the benefit of the Center for Client Safety, where he served as National Lead Investigator.
Continuing his influence among powerhouse players in the movement, Gavin now serves at Americans United for Life, where he has demonstrated his excellence and media instinct as Legal Operations & Media Relations Manager, effectively communicating strategy on a national scale.
From The Hill to Fox News to The Daily Wire, his expertise has been widely noted, especially on chemical abortion and at the intersection of all things culture, health, and law. Follow him on X @realgavinoxley to stay up to date with his work at AUL and beyond.
