Defending the Personhood of Life in the Womb
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, Americans United for Life is organizing the first-ever conference on the personhood of human lives and the constitutional implications thereof. The “Equal Protection Summit” is slated to be held October 16-18th, 2024 at the University of Notre Dame.
The format is to be a two-day scholarly conference debating the implications of constitutional personhood, or equal protection, for life in the womb, especially now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned and the first part/holding of Roe, at least ostensibly, has been put to rest.
The summit will include presentations of essays or papers on various topics related to equal protection of all human lives, and a plan for publication in a text compilation format.
