“Americans United for Life congratulates the successful pro-life candidates elected and re-elected across the nation today, and the many millions of voters who disproved the prognostications of beltway pollsters and made pro-life issues the difference in these races,” said AUL Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel Steven H. “Voters convincingly demonstrated how passionate they are about critical issues like common-sense abortion facility health and safety standards, ending taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood, and the recent inexcusable descent into purely partisan politics by pro-abortion forces, in strategic races such as the Senate elections in Missouri, Indiana, and North Dakota, and the pro-life ballot initiatives in West Virginia and Alabama.
“In particular, we will look forward to working with an even stronger pro-life Senate majority come January to confirm many more federal judges who respect the right to life and to work to pass the Pain Capable Act and other important measures.”
