WASHINGTON, DC— Catherine Glenn Foster, President & CEO of Americans United for Life, released the following comment regarding the violence surrounding the certification of the Electoral College vote:

The political violence witnessed today at our nation’s Capitol underscores the urgency for a total re-calibration of American politics centered on the dignity and flourishing of the human person. Our country’s season of unrest and violence must come to an end. As Americans, we can restore solidarity and unity to our shared life. We cannot abandon the ideals that speak to the soul of every American, starting with community, family, and the preservation of human life. Despite these alarming and dispiriting times, I am confident that all Americans share a bright and better future.
