Americans United for Life was the very first national pro-life organization in America—incorporated in 1971, two years before the infamous Roe v. Wade decision. While so much has changed since 1971, the fight to protect the human right to life is more relevant than ever.
Patrick Trueman, former Executive Director of Americans United for Life, joins Tom Shakely and Noah Brandt on “Life, Liberty, and Law” to reflect on the early days of the organization and its continuing work to advance the human right to life in culture, law, and policy. Patrick Trueman is President of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation and is a former Chief of the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Criminal Division at the U. S. Department of Justice from 1988 to 1993.
