Americans United for Life is pleased to welcome Katie Glenn as its Government Affairs Counsel, responsible for legislation and enactment of pro-life laws at the state and federal level.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join Americans United for Life at this critical time for the pro-life movement,” said Katie Glenn. “There’s no greater cause than the cause for life, and I am eager to speak for those who can’t speak for themselves. I look forward to continuing to build upon the friendships and partnerships made while defending religious freedom.”
Katie works with legislators, pro-life and pro-family groups, and other allies. Prior to joining Americans United for Life, Katie was Director of External Relations and Senior Policy Counsel for 1st Amendment Partnership. She has worked with legislators, faith leaders, and religious institutions to protect religious freedom for all Americans, and has traveled across the country to assist in the legislative process, testifying and training grassroots activists. She writes op-eds and legislative materials on religious freedom, non-discrimination law, and state constitutional law, and has delivered a webinar on non-discrimination law and accommodations for churches and faith-based nonprofits.

Katie is admitted to the Iowa State Bar. She earned her Juris Doctor with Pro Bono Certificate from the University Of Florida Levin College Of Law. She graduated with honors from Tulane University, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Latin American Studies. Katie externed for the General Counsel’s office at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, and interned for Congressman Tom Latham (IA-03).
