(Washington, D.C.): As we approach the third anniversary of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Healthcare, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), a long-time ally for life, has proposed a resolution to declare the month of June as National Pro-Life Month. In a culture that seeks to constantly diminish the innate value of human life, this resolution stands as a lighthouse to the American people. The United States is turning to embrace life for both women and children.

This resolution is more than a declaration; it’s a cultural shift.

John Mize, CEO of Americans United for Life, emphasized the importance of this resolution, saying, “Senator Cruz’s resolution is a sign to all Americans that a revival for life is sweeping across the nation. American families can rest assured that Americans United for Life and our allies are continuing to make a cultural stand to prevent the harms of abortion.”

Rebekah Gantner, Government Affairs & Public Policy Manager at Americans United for Life, added, “We are grateful to Senator Cruz for recognizing the vital care and support provided by pregnancy centers in the Life Month resolution. Nearly 3,000 pregnancy centers across the country deliver essential services—ranging from pregnancy tests and material support to housing assistance and educational classes. These centers often make a life-changing impact, and their compassionate work deserves recognition and praise.”

Americans United for Life stands alongside our allies in life and especially Senator Cruz in supporting this resolution. Passing this resolution is essential to recentering values of life and family in the heart of American culture.
