Pregnancy Center Advocacy Hub
The Pregnancy Center Advocacy Hub serves as a valuable resource, providing information on legislative and administrative proposals that may impact the operations of pregnancy centers and adoption agencies. It empowers such organizations to engage with elected officials at all levels to tell their impactful story and advocate to ensure their right to exist.
Americans United for Life (AUL) tracks hearings and votes in addition to PC and adoption-related bills so that as these items arise, we can quickly create an effective advocacy email campaign to bring the information to your attention. We understand that your time is valuable so it is our goal to provide you with a central location where staff, volunteers, and supporters can learn about these issues in a timely manner.
Tips for Using the Advocacy Hub
- Click on the link to visit the Advocacy Hub. https://aul.org/pregnancy-centers/
- Scroll down to find the federal and state campaigns. The “Federal Campaigns” are visible on the Hub’s homepage. Simply, click on the campaign that you want to view. If you are searching for a campaign in your state, click on the “State Campaigns” tab. Next, select a state to locate the campaign that is relevant to you and your work.

Why Use the Pregnancy Center Advocacy Hub?
AUL strives for the day when all are welcomed throughout life and protected in law, including the unborn. For this reason, AUL is excited to partner with pregnancy centers (PCs) across the nation in their commitment to providing compassionate and loving support for mothers and fathers, and tangible resources for their unborn child. The help that PCs provide both before and after birth is absolutely key in creating a true and enduring culture of life.
Several states recognize the excellent work of PCs and are actively working to promote their efforts through free-speech protections, banning government interference in centers’ daily operations, and advancing tax credits. Conversely, pro-abortion lawmakers have introduced legislation in an endeavor to intimidate and force PCs to close. A handful of states released consumer alerts warning their residents to avoid PCs at all costs. And on top of that, ten states had abortion-related constitutional amendments on their fall ballots with additional ballot measures expected in future elections. Yet, PCs continue to bring critical and compassionate care to their clients, positively impacting lives for generations.
Now is the time for PCs to be equipped with every tool to stand firm in their beliefs and their care. The barrage of attacks and ever-changing legislative landscape make it imperative to be informed on the issues that could affect your organization’s ability to operate and to take a stand when your center and your way of care is under assault.
Pregnancy centers also have a significant opportunity to collaboratively promote your services and client testimonials when speaking favorably on legislation that advances your work. AUL recognizes the challenges and pressures your pregnancy center faces daily as well as avenues to advocate for life-affirming bills. We created the Pregnancy Center Advocacy Hub with that in mind.
Email Campaigns
The primary goal of the Pregnancy Center Advocacy Hub is to inform legislators of what they can do to promote and protect your critical work. It works by providing you with pre-drafted email campaigns to allow you to contact your lawmakers at every level of government in response to policy proposals.
We understand that you have a lot on your plate. That is why our pre-drafted emails get the necessary information to the right place in less than a minute of your time. You need only enter your contact information on the pre-written message, and it will go directly to your representatives. That’s it!
For a greater impact, you can always individualize the email with your PC’s story.
Examples
Consider a bill that has been introduced requiring pregnancy centers to post pro-abortion signage on walls and in their advertisements. The PC Advocacy Hub will allow centers to immediately mobilize hundreds of staff and supporters to respond by expressing opposition and testifying against the legislation.
Another example could be that a pro-life legislator introduces AUL’s model legislation, the Pregnancy Options Tax Credit Act. Once again, you can use the Advocacy Hub to mobilize support for the bill by sending emails to state lawmakers and the governor’s office.
