The report highlights the current state of chemical abortion, pregnancy resource centers, and more.
Americans United for Life released its 2023 State Policy Report on Tuesday. The report details the current state of pro-life laws across the country in the full year since the overturn of Roe v. Wade. Key themes include state legislation, chemical abortion, pregnancy resource centers, physician-assisted suicide, and conscience protections.
Steven H. Aden, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, said, “With this fifth edition of AUL’s annual State Policy Report, America’s oldest and most effective national pro-life advocacy organization celebrates a post-Roe nation – where all persons are welcomed to life and protected in law in fifteen states, and legal protections for prenatal persons are being strengthened in state after state.”
Bradley Kehr, Government Affairs Director, said, “We at AUL are always proud to highlight the dedication of pro-life state legislators across the country and are excited to continue supporting them as they work to protect the most vulnerable. As always, we will continue to encourage the enactment of proactive strategies for the protection of the preborn.”
Danielle Pimentel, Policy Counsel, said, “In the year following Dobbs, the pro-life movement has made tremendous strides for life and has helped enact strong protections for preborn children. Although the battle is not over, we celebrate these pro-life wins and are confident that one day all persons will be welcomed throughout life and protected in law.”
