Americans United for Life is disappointed that Gov. Mark Dayton vetoed a bill (S.F 2849) that would have afforded Minnesota women the right to see an ultrasound of their unborn child prior to an abortion if they request to. The bill, on which AUL President & CEO Catherine Glenn Foster testified, would have helped to ensure that women are fully informed about their decision to abort, including the risks and long-term consequences. Gov. Dayton’s veto makes it clear that Minnesota women will not be empowered to make a fully-informed decision.
