“Americans United for Life is pleased that President Trump is keeping his promises to pro-life America. The Title X and abortion surcharge rules will no longer allow Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry to pilfer taxpayer dollars to subsidize its abortion practices. The Title X rule’s requirements that an abortion facility be physically and fiscally separate from those providing family planning services addresses the modus operandi of abortionists in subsidizing their practices and stops them from doing so. The abortion surcharge rule lifts the veil put in place by the Affordable Care Act and exposes how the healthcare law has been funneling money to the abortion industry. We thank the Administration for clarifying what proponents of the healthcare law wanted to obfuscate.”
