The voice for the unborn.
Americans United for Life is the nation’s leading pro-life legal organization. Since its conception, AUL has inspired over 500 pro-life laws in the states. AUL has presented briefs on behalf of Congress and even argued in the Supreme Court for vital pro-life cases saving hundreds of thousands of lives.
Your support will:
- Provide for a dedicated pro-life legal team that works around the clock on life issues.
- Ensure expert research into the pro-life realm exposing the dark abortion industry.
- Appear in top-level media as a voice for the voiceless; AUL is one of the few clear voices that speaks for the unborn.
- Work closely with Congress and state legislatures to ensure life is enshrined by law through a dedicated team.
- Train a much-needed future generation of lawyers to stand up against the relentless attacks on life.
Through your donation, you will effectively stand for the unborn and be a part of the many donors who believe in this mission.

Make a Charitable IRA Rollover Gift
Charitable IRA Rollovers, also known as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) are a tax-savvy way for many people aged 70½ or older to make charitable gifts. A QCD is a gift from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a qualifying organization, such as Americans United for Life, sent directly from your IRA to us. You pay no taxes on a distribution of this type, which would typically be taxed by the IRS. Please consult your financial advisor to learn more about setting up a QCD, and if AUL is in your distribution plans, please reach out to us at [email protected] so that we can personally confirm your gift.

Our Wilberforce Legacy Society recognizes and honors those who make planned gifts to Americans United for Life. Because we are a non-profit charitable organization, your planned gift bequest is free of estate taxes. The language in your will can be as simple as:
“I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to Americans United for Life (AUL) (Tax ID#36-3906065) of Washington, DC, the sum of $_______________.” Or “I hereby give, devise, and bequest to Americans United for Life (AUL) (Tax ID#36-3906065) of Washington, DC, all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).”
Life Insurance/Retirement Plans
You can also name AUL as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or your retirement plan (such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, or other pension plan). By naming AUL as a beneficiary, you maintain complete control over the plan while living, but at your passing the plan passes to AUL free of both income and estate taxes.
AUL can be named as a primary beneficiary for part or all of the assets in the plan, or as a contingent beneficiary, or as a beneficiary at the death of your surviving spouse. Please ask your insurance agent, your employer, or the financial institution managing your retirement plan for the proper forms.
Please consult with your attorney or personal financial advisor regarding the legal and tax benefits of all estate and planned gifts.
