John Mize serves as CEO of Americans United for Life, advancing the human right to life in culture, law, and policy. John works closely with the Board of Directors and team to shape the organization’s future strategic vision and growth.
John previously served on the Senior Leadership team at the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, a leading patient advocacy organization devoted to supporting people impacted by inflammatory bowel disease. As the Executive Vice President of Business Development, John was responsible for revenue-generating strategies delivering millions of dollars for mission-related activities. Before his time at the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, John served for several for-profit companies in the healthcare sector primarily working to build markets within the Federal Government, academic research institutions, and nonprofits. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Mental Health America and is highly involved in YoungLife and the autism community.
John earned his B.A. in history at the University of Oregon before settling with his wife Stephanie and four children on the East Coast. John and his wife are also active in the foster community, having served as a foster family for over a decade.
