Bradley N. Kehr serves as Government Affairs Counsel for Americans United for Life, assisting state and federal legislators, policy groups, and advocates to develop and pass legislation that protects life from conception to natural death. He joined AUL in January 2018 from the United States Senate, where he served as counsel to Sen. Steve Daines (MT), with a primary focus on life, values, healthcare, and judiciary issues. In his time with the Senate, Brad was integral to ensuring pro-life dialogue remained a priority and that proposed legislation, including that relating to healthcare, advanced the cause of life.
Previously, Brad was Litigation Counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom and a summer Legal Fellow at AUL. With AUL’s Senior Counsel Clarke Forsythe, he coauthored the article A Road Map Through the Supreme Court’s Back Alley, published in the Villanova Law Review. Brad is admitted to the bar in Oregon and is a member of the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. in Mathematics from Willamette University. He is a Blackstone Legal Fellow.
