“Jeanneane’s legal intellect and her fierce commitment to defending life in law is a significant addition to AUL’s work targeting the abortion industry,” said AUL’s Dr. Charmaine Yoest.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (01-18-12) – Americans United for Life President and CEO Dr. Charmaine Yoest announced that Jeanneane Maxon, formerly Care Net General Counsel, has joined the legal arm of the pro-life movement as Vice President of External Affairs and Corporate Counsel. Maxon also served on the Board of Directors of AUL before transitioning to her new role in January.
“The addition of Jeanneane’s expertise and long-term experience in all facets of the pro-life movement is an exciting expansion of our legal team. Jeanneane will be a significant asset as we press forward this year with our ongoing work exposing the abortion industry,” said Dr. Yoest.
“I’m honored to be joining the legal team that has been a part of every Life-related case that has come before the Supreme Court,” said Ms. Maxon. “AUL’s work as the legal architects of a Constitutionally-sound strategy for reversing Roe, and the plans underway for targeting the abortion industry in 2012 make AUL the place to be in this pivotal year.”
At Care Net, Ms. Maxon advocated for the legal rights of pregnancy care centers that serve on the front lines of helping pregnant women and new mothers. As an expert in nonprofit and employment law, Ms. Maxon also provided legal and risk management support to Care Net and its network of over 1100 pregnancy centers. As the daughter of a fourteen-year executive director of a Care Net center in Amarillo, Texas, Ms. Maxon has been involved in the pro-life movement her entire life. The author, speaker and noted television analyst will be available to media by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
“At AUL we are preparing for exciting developments in 2012 at the state, federal,nd judicial levels,” said Dr. Yoest. “Jeanneane’s ability in implementing strategic plans for victory make her a vital member of the legal team laying the foundation for reversing Roe. We are building on a strong foundation.” In 2011 alone, 28 significant pro-life laws enacted in states across the nation were based on AUL’s own model legislation and/or consultations.
