Matthew Eppinette, M.B.A., M.A., is Communications Director at Americans United for Life (Chicago, Illinois) and an Associate Fellow at The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity (Bannockburn, Illinois). In his role as Communications Director, he oversees corporate communications including traditional media, internet and new media, and direct mail.
Matthew received a B.S. in Business Management and Administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, an M.B.A. from Louisiana Tech University, and an M.A. in Bioethics from Trinity International University where his thesis was entitled Bodiless Exultation? Transhumanism and Embodiment.
A chapter authored by Matthew, “Human 2.0: Transhumanism as a Cultural Trend,” appears in Everyday Theology: How to Read Texts and Interpret Trends (Baker Academic, 2007). He is currently co-authoring two chapters for a book on new media. Tentatively titled, The New Media Frontier, the book is slated for publication by Crossway in late 2008.
In addition, Matthew has been published in Ethics & Medicine: An International Journal of Bioethics and Industrial Management and Data Systems. Conferences at which Matthew has made presentations include the Saint Louis Conference on Biblical Discernment, the Humanities and Technology Association’s Technology and Religion conference, and The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity’s Neuroethics: The New Frontier.
He is a member of The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity, the American Society for Bioethics & Humanities, and the Chicago Area Direct Marketing Association.
Matthew and his wife Ginger live in Chicago.
