The AUL Legal Institute is a fellowship and training association for like-minded pro-life students, attorneys, legislators, and policy makers known as “AUL Allies.” All Institute events are exclusively for AUL Allies and attendance at the Institute or any scheduled event is predicated on confirmation of an applicant’s status. 

 

 


The 2007 Institute

Attendance to our annual four-day legal institute training for interns, students, and activists more than doubled for 2007. Speakers included AUL staff and outside experts and covered abortion law, the medical impact of abortion on women, bioethics, end-of-life issues, and protecting the rights of conscience of healthcare providers.

 

An expanded program of speakers included Donna Harrison, M.D., President-Elect, American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians & Gynecologists; Frank Manion, J.D., Senior Counsel, American Center for Law and Justice; Edward R. Grant, J.D., former AUL President and Affiliated Scholar, Center for Clinical Bioethics, Georgetown University.

 

Attendees also participated in a hands-on media training session, conducted by Teri Goudie, President, Goudie Media Services.

 

Key sessions were led by AUL experts Clarke Forsythe, J.D., Mailee Smith, J.D., Daniel McConchie, M.A., and Matthew Eppinette, M.B.A., M.A.
