Each summer, AUL hosts a Fellowship Program and selects top law students from across the nation who are committed to a culture of life and are considering a career in pro-life law.
The AUL Fellowship Program offers Fellows first-hand experience working to protect life through state and federal laws. Each Fellow's research culminates in a published article to be included in AUL's Defending Life: A State-by-State Legal Guide to Abortion, Bioethics, and the End of Life.
Through an intensive mentorship program and the AUL Legal Institute, AUL prepares the next generation of attorneys to effectively communicate pro-life values through law and policy, to draft defensible legislation, and to engage in an effective litigation practice.
The program has grown dramatically over the last two years, both in Fellowship applicants and attendees to the AUL Legal Institute. For 2007, we received over twice as many applications as the previous year's, doubling an already competitive applicant pool.
The AUL 2007 Fellows represented the schools of Yale University, Boston College, Creighton University, Gonzaga University, University of California-Hastings, and Pepperdine University.

"The AUL Fellowship represents a great opportunity to learn and serve with a top-notch public-interest law firm. AUL's reputation is unmatched for high quality legal work aimed at making every child welcome in life and protected in law."
