Heather Smith

Director of Communications

 

Heather Smith is the Director of Communications for Americans United for Life. Her focus is to oversee corporate communications including traditional media, internet, and new media.

In 2004, Miss Smith came to Washington, D.C. to work for FOX News Channel as a television booker.  She produced Weekend Live with Tony Snow and FOX News Live, and booked guests for FOX’s breaking news special programming.  Previously she booked interviews for WFLA-AM’s The Shannon Burke Show and worked on several documentaries for PBS and History Channel.  She has produced film documentaries hosted by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and by Dick Morris.

 

In 1999, Smith began her media career as an alternative rock disc jockey and radio talk show host.  She went on to produce local and national radio talk show programs including three top 10 nationally syndicated radio programs: The G. Gordon Liddy Show, The Laura Ingraham Show, and most recently, The Lars Larson Show.  In addition, she has been in front of the microphone having been interviewed on FOX News Channel, CNN, MSNBC, and many nationally syndicated talk radio programs about her conservative political activism influencing legislation and running grassroots activist campaigns in Florida.

 

She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where she majored in Film, Television, and Radio and minored in Legal Studies.
